Home Ministry and Defence Ministry should jointly come up with a plan for alleviating the fears of the common man about national security. With India gaining in prominence on the wor ld stage, there will be many who would want to do us harm, so in this environment, being a little paranoia as opposed to our normal "chalta hai" attitude could actually work to secure many innocent lives.

It's India's war on terror. There is no point in begging American or China to put pressure on Pakistan to dismantle terror camps. I don't know what the Indian Govt is waiting for! It is foolish to expect America or China to take action against the Pakistan. We have to do it for ourselves without waiting for someone to act on behalf of us. WHEN THE PARLIAMENT WAS ATTACKED, WE DID NOTHING, SO WE CANNOT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THE GOVT, AFTER ALL IT WAS AN ATTACK ON STAR HOTEL.

I offer my deepest condolences to all the brave army jawans, commandos and cops who laid down their lives to save the rest of us. It fills me with pride to stand as one of their countrymen. the very best solution is destruction of the whole terrorist infrastucture in pakistan but it is not possible because pakistan is our neighbour. if any surgical strike leads into a full war then many thousands people will die and that will be a great loss. so the only possible solution is to strengthen our anti-terror infrastructure. our intel. agencies are not accountable to anyone so make them accountable and give them best infrastructure. our anti-terror forces are highly skilled but they are unable to use their 100% skill due to unavailability of advanced weapons and instruments, even they don't have proper protective gear. so give them what they need to fight terror. lastly, our govts/companies is so helpfull to our stars like Juvraj Sing, Avinav Bindra and gives them crores but for stars like Hemant Karkare, Unnikrisnan its only some lakhs for their bravery.

Terrorists have come from pakistan, it is 100% prooved ! Pakistan is not capable to make war with india directly!! THATS WHY ITS GOVERMENT supports terrorists to wage war/ attack india indirectly!! Pakistan's direct or indirect help to its land's terrorist attacking indian cities or indian people must be presumed to be the announcement of war with india??Why our leaders delay too much for a befitting reply to pakistan?????? why?? Time has come now to show our enourmous strength to pakistan.

I condem the terrorist attack and our politicians cannot continue to sit on the problem without finding a solution to this . This is the top most priority of this country. In the midst of the recent dedly terriorist attack and ignoring the sufering and anger of people I wonder as to how can this country hold elections

K K RPATRO - Pune

WE MUST SAVE THE HUMANITY FROM TERROR. Our first priority towards this action should be to strengthen our own intelligence & security system and give freedom to Police to act promptly. Our next priority must be to blast off all those terrorist camps at our neighborhood with out loss of any more time.

The message to all from Nov 26th is 'Be on your guard at all times'. The killers are not going to be suddenly reformed & stop their madness. What they need to know is that it's not going to be so easy any more & they need to find soft targets elsewhere, if any exist. And for that, we need to get tough (intrinsically) as a nation - not resort to jingoistic rabble rousing & knee-jerk responses to fool the gullible.

There must be relentless pressure put on the Central and State govts to create immediately the institutional mechanisms that are needed to prevent and counter terrorism no matter where it emerges from. Also, we must recognise Islamic terrorism for what it is and address it squarely. Calling it by any other mumbo-jumbo would not enable us to meet the threat adequately.

Like in U. S. A. we should have a system whereby a politician should be allowed to rule only for 2 terms {for a maximum period of 10 years.} If he is proven inefficient at any point of time he should step down and not allowed to contest again in his lifetime.

Do not consume more than what you need and joint hands to erradicate poverty and that will ensure that we live in a safe world. Try to built and fragnat the ones and brotherhood in everything. No doubt i heartily join with you in condemning these inhuman/devilish attacks on Indians or any other nationals anywhere on earth. I convey my deepest condolences to all the bereaved families. I heard somebody questioning whether any stringent law will stop such terrorists stake their lives for jihad. we should understand that traffic lights are to regulate the traffic, Police are to protect public. but despite all these precautions, accidents do take place; but most of the traffic gets disciplined with all such rules in place. Dispensing with all such steps will only create havoc on roads anywhere ! It is foolish to say that stringent laws will not be of any use. They are definitely of great help to the law enforcing agencies to contain such menace to continue unabated. Isn't it so ? Let sanity prevail on earth, that will help contain insanity to rule roost. God whom we believe in save our Nation. Once again, my Best Wishes, kvbnrao

We always becomes stronger when we are pushed to the wall.. We should take this opportunity to ask ourselves before showing an accusing finger towards another, Be it politicians or the terrorists. Are we clean? Am I perfect before accusing the government? Can government alone do everything? Is it not our duty to do our duty? Am I doing it? Policiticians are corrupt, yes. What about me. Who made the politicians corrupt. Everyone wants tax concessions and protection. From where will the government raise money to give concessions? Did corporate India responded by price cuts? Did top executives who are in the reichest list gave anything to the poor? Why blame the government and politicians. It is we made them. Are we not responsible. Is media both print and electronic are clean? If they are clean why they accept awards and sites from the Government? Why cant the media shun the politicians totally instead of criticising them? How many clean and upright officers and politicians life history was highlighted. How many officers or scientists of Chandrayan were felicitated by the media. FIRST ASK MYSELF HOW I AM DIFFERNET AND HONEST MYSELF, THEN ONLY I HAVE THE RIGHT TO CRITICISE OTHERS.

One of Gandhiji's way of protest was Dandi March. Does our Politicians (all MP's, MLA's, Gov, Prez, etc) have the Guts to lead a peaceful march across the border to Islamabad?? As citizens, we all are willing to follow them to show the world that Gandhiji's ideology will still work to bring International pressure on Pakistan to follow the path of Peace. Terrorism is a crime against humanity. It transcends nationality, religion, and race. It is also a product of the civilized society. Fight against terrorism requires a totally different mind set. The laws that guide a terrorist is opposite to that serves the civilized society. Its eradication requires at first the isolation of the terrorist, eradication of the individual if the person is un-treatable, creating thereafter an environment for the terrorist mindset to return to a civilized world. Brute force will only help in eradicating an individual. Brute force is only a tactical measure. It’s a temporary requirement. Eradicating the mind set requires strategic thinking. It also requires an ability to cleanse the poison that creates a terrorist mind. Now, a necessity comes to distinguish the poison. The poison is a creation of the civilized society. It resides in each and every ones mind.
